    Keezer Gas Bulkhead solution

I was looking for a clean way to feed CO2 into my keezer with a ball lock quick disconnect on the outside and hose barb on the inside. I found a MFL Bulkhead Adapter Shank (2-7/8" long) on The CHI Company Website. www.chicompany.net 530-622-8265 I gave CHI a call and talked to Matthew...

    Wyeast 3068 for Centennial Blonde?

I was thinking about substituting Wyeast 3068 for Nottingham in Biermuncher's Centennial Blonde AG recipe to impart some banana and clove accents. I realize there's no wheat or rye in the recipe but I was wondering if you guys thought this would be a funky combination or an interesting one...

    Best source for March 815-PL-C

Any recommendations on a good source / vendor for a March 815-PL-C ? The 809 is everywhere but the 815 - PL - C is tougher to find and price. I'm hoping to find some decent pricing and not get killed on shipping costs. Thanks

Whirlpool into Hop Strainer / Basket or outside of one?

I'm setting up a Whirlpool Immersion Chiller system (aka Jamil O Chiller) with March 815 pump and was considering adding a Hop Strainer / Basket / Spider from Stainless Brewing. http://www.stainlessbrewing.com/Hop-Strainer-with-SS-Mesh_p_123.html For the record, Zach is a great guy to deal...

    Wort recirculation alternative??

The Jamil style recirculating immersion chiller method is the best I've seen. The downside is the need for a decent pump, more tubing, some wort loss and more cleanup and maintenance. I thought about another approach assuming you already own a stir plate for working up yeast cultures, etc...

1/2" 25 ft SS wort chiller

Just received a 15gal brew kettle from Ben at Spike Brewing. Its 16" wide x 17" high. I am focused on 5 gal batches for the time being but plan to brew 10 gal batches soon. I'd prefer a stainless immersion chiller for cleaning and durability reasons and believe the conductivity differences...

    Which IC??

I've decided to go stainless. I like the idea of an Immersion Chiller that's more durable and easier to clean. The conductivity differences between and SS and copper are minor in this application. I've narrowed it down to two units and was looking for some opinions. It will be used in a...

5 gal batches in 15 gal kettle

I'm thinking about a Spike Brewing 10 or 15 gal kettle and will be focused on 5 gal batches..... for now. Not sure if I'll go 10 gal later but interested in how some of you have progressed as well. If I go with a 15 gal kettle and horizontal couplers, will it be a hassle to brew and handle 5...

    Upgrade options and chilling help

Fellow Brewers, Started brewing 18 years ago. Wife, kids and busy lifestyle put things on hold for awhile. Back in the game again and ready to upgrade some gear. I'm focused on 5 gal batches but may want to scale up later although its not a priority......yet. I favor high gravity beers in...
