Has anyone had any experience with diaphragm pumps I was given a brand new surflo pump and wondered if it could be used for wort transfer it is a potable water pump
Does anyone have an opinion on this it is something I put together with some leftovers I have

I just started my first cider just wondered what you think
4.5 gallons apple juice
24 Oz frozen concentrate
1 cup brown sugar disolved in 1 cup water
1 packet safale 05
Just sampled my first batch at 10 days in the bottle carb level was still a little low but has cleared up very nicely. The problem was it had kind of an off taste possibly just green do you think another week or two in the bottle will help
