    Pear wine?

    OK, my buddy's dad has a ton of trees with pears on em. I was looking at Jack Keller's page and he said there are different types of pears. What's the quickest and easiest way to ID pears. Besides this, anyone got any good tried and true pear recipes they use? I want sweet wine with lots of body.

    First homebrew you got trashed on?

    This one's probaby already been started, but I think I've gotten trashed for the first time ever off my own HB. It's a blue berry wine, it doesn't have near enough aging to it IMO, is in need of a good bit more body and some back sweetening, but still it's drinkable and gotten the job done...

    First batch done, moving on

    Well, bottled up my first batch of wine today, it was put into roughly 20 bottles. It was made using Red Star Montrachet yeast w/nutrient, some nutrient pectic enzyme, it started at roughly 1.095 and finished at about .990. Preliminarily I'm thinking it's going to be a good turn out. It...
