    Pump recommendation

Was wondering if anyone could recommend a self-priming brew pump for a decent price. Preferably under $150.

    Inkbird controllers

I am going to be converting a chest freezer into a fermentation chamber soon so I was looking at the inkbird temp controllers. Can anyone recommend one model over another? They have a few models and I'm having trouble understanding the difference between them. I dont want one more complicated...

    Fermentation chamber questions

I have been recently finding out just how important fermentation temperature control is to making great beer. That being said, I want to build a fermentation chamber. I just happen to have a chest freezer to use but I don't know the first thing about what else I need. I don't think I'll need a...

    So. Many. Questions.

I'm not new to homebrewing. I've been doing it for 5 years. But until recently I've only been doing it as a very passive hobby when I'm bored and not really concerned about having GREAT beer. In the last few months that has changed. I've started realizing how much time is wasted if you're not...

    Porter recipe opinions

I'm making a clone recipe, even though I'm generally against clones, but this is actually because the brewery that makes the beer doesn't distribute to where I live. It's a porter by Georgetown Brewery (http://georgetownbeer.com/products#porter). Given the information provided by Georgetown for...

    Mini-Keg beer dispensers

I make 3 gallon batches of beer at a time and am looking for an alternative to bottling. I was thinking of conditioning in 5 liter mini-kegs. Does anyone know of a good mini-keg dispenser that cools and keeps the beer carbed with Co2?

    Humorous homebrew names

Hey all, I was thinking today about naming my beers humorously after figures in pop culture and mentioning reasons why. A guy I work with came up with the Barack Obama stout because it doesn't keep its promises and when you drink it you ask yourself "what the heck is going on here?". Thought...

    Using simple syrup to prime

I'd like to experiment with using simple syrup to prime my beer. Does anyone have any experience with this? How much would you use per gallon?

Watery beer taste out of primary.

I went to bottle my Octoberfest tonight and decided to take a sip. It had taste but seemed more watered down than it should have been. I'm a new brewer and this is my third batch. Is this normal? I went ahead and primed/bottled anyway.

    Cooling the wort

I have a couple of specific questions regarding long wort cooling times. I'm trying as hard as I can to decrease the total time used in the process and I've really got it all down, except cooling the wort. It's the most frustrating part for me! Granted, it takes me about an hour to get it down...

    Selling homebrew through local pub

My brother owns a local bar. I've begun brewing beer as a hobby. He has a class D5 liquor license. Would I be able to give my beer to my brother to sell at his bar? I've looked at the details of liquor/manufacturing licenses but since this is kind of a complicated situation I cant find anything...
