    starter FG

    Its going on 2 days on my starter and krausen is falling back in. I would like to know what should be the FG for it? Never made a srarter so im new to this. The OG was 1.035-1.040 ish. Just trying yo get an idea how long it'll be. I want to cold crash it when ready. Thanks

    Went to swirl my starter (which is only 24hrs old) and my pinkie finger cracked and put a dime sized hole in my 1 gallon carboy!     fermentation chamber

    I noticed when I open my lid on ferm chamber (ceiling facing lid) to check beer, my temp drops a couple degrees on digital temp controller. The probe is actually covered with 1.5" foam sheathing taped against glass carboy with duct tape. Wandering if anyone has any ideas? It evens out soon...

    Ipa ready in only 2 weeks?

    Preferred size bottles

    I recently bottled my first batch in 12oz long neck bottles, however wanted to know if it would be alright to use those smaller "red stripe" type bottles if left enough head space? I just like the looks of them i guess.
