    Oatmeal Cream Stout Lactose?

    So one of my mentor's uses Non-fat dried milk instead of Lactose for his oatmeal cream stout but I heard it can kill head retention. Has anyone used this substitute? I plan on brewing tomorrow.

    Small Batch Hop additions

    I have a tendency to make 1 gal batches to test different recipes, and I have learned that cutting a 5 gal batch down to 1 gal recipes doesn't always translate well in terms of hop additions. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? I know I should be adding less than what the recipe would call for...

    Dark Malt Extract to All grain

    I am wanting to make a cherry stout but I would rather use all grain than a dark malt extract. The recipe calls for 6.6lbs dark malt extract and 1lb plain dark dried malt extract. Anyone suggestions on my grain bill to achieve all grain?

    Rudesheimer

    So I am making a test batch of my first common cider attempt. I took Louisburg cider (local cider mill) and inoculated it with Wyeast 4783 Rudesheimer yeast. Has anyone used Rudesheimer? How did it turn out? My O.G. was at 1.050 @ 60 F. I am hoping to get a F.G. of 1.000

    Kansas City

    I have been working hard for the past year and a half to brew some quality beers, most have been successful, thanks partially to the advice I have found on here! I'm on my 6th batch now. Best hobby in the world.
