    I am not sure but should I clean the copper pipe I used to make a manifold the pipe is tarnished its pipe I had for a looooong time and has tarnished if so what do you recommend to clean it.

    adding grains to an extract

    does anyone know of any good books on this subject I would like to read up on it and since I am new to this hobby I think this would be a good way of making something like an extract my own.

    I am going to make root beer from extract the recipe calls for yeast I am wondering if it would be a better idea to use an airlock or like they say in the recipe to just cap the bottle?

    I started fermenting my cider well somehow my children popped a small hole in my plastic fermentor so I tryed to transfer it to another fermentor and now I am not seeing any activity, should I pitch a bit more yeast or just leave it?
