    too much head

    Has it fermented

    OK, I messed up I think. I did not take a gravity reading before I pitched in my yeast. Over the last week I have not heard anything from the brew. I use an over flow pipe vs a bubbler. I have included 2 pics of the current look of the batch. Am I in trouble?

    impact of differnt yeast on brew

    I am preparing to order a Big River Brown Ale from midwestern and was wondering what difference the offered yeasts have on the brew. There are four : London Ale Wyeast 1028, Munton's 6 gm dry yeast, London Ale Activator Wyeast 1028, and White Labs British Ale 005. What do you think?

    when to move to 2nd fermenter

    I pitched my first batch last sat. and took a SG at 1.050. I took another today and it was 1.020 if it is the same tomorrow would it be ok to move it the the second fermenter for two weeks?
