    Brewed an all grain braggot yesterday...fermentation was very aggresive and it came out the top of the airlock. I know I could do a blow off hose, but I have a better bottle carboy and not a glass carboy. Thus the opening is too big for blow off hose. Any ideas on what I should do. Do I...

    Adding vanilla beans to porter?

    Brewed up a 5 gallon batch of porter. Going to do the same recipe this Sunday but want to make this a vanilla porter. when do i add the vanilla beans? Most advice is during secondary fermentation. Do I split the bean and just add seeds? Or do I split the bean and add everything?
