    Adding fruit mid primary fermentation

    Just rolling an idea around here: Is there anything wrong with adding fruit at the 1/3 sugar break? I have 3 gallons of mead started (4 days old and chugging away) and I was thinking about dropping a couple pounds of berries in there tonight. Thoughts?

    Zorks

    I purchased Zorks a few weeks ago and have used them on various apfelweins and a mead. Everything bottled is only a few weeks old so I can't report on Zorks long term ability, but so far I am happy with them. See pics below. Sorry about the pics but you get the idea. Enjoy the kids artwork...

    Bottled my first batch last night and...

    I tasted a sample. It tasted and smelled like warm, flat beer. I'm guessing that's a good sign sign. I also made a bit of a mess, but managed to clean up before SWMBO got home. Thanks for all great info on the site. BTW it was/is an extract ale kit from Midwest. :mug:
