    how much dry yeast

    I have read and seen examples of just dumping a pack of dry yeast into your cooled wort...and examples of hydrating the dry yeast...BUT is 1 package of dry yeast enough?...would the beer benefit from 2 packages?

    My first batch is about ready I think...Cream Ale kit...11 days Primary, 14 days secondary and 12 days bottle...put 3 bottles in fridge last night and tonight I start tasting...looked at the bootles and not much setiment on bottom....are they ready?...

    I ahve 2 brews under my belt...both from kits...planning my 3rd and wanted to make something that has a nice creamy, full bodied tecture of Guiness but not the roasty bit it has...what adjusncts can/should I add to a recipe to get that? any suggestions?

    Broken air lock

    so I broke my airlock last night...I've got a batch sitting in a carboy since 4/1, when to take a gravity reading and snapped the airlock...I sanatized a zipock bag and loosely tied it over the stopper and neck...how long, if at all, will this last me...I can't get another airlock until my ride...

    I brewed a cream ale on Sunday..Monday morning I was getting a bubble every 2 seconds..and tuesday monring I ams till only getting a bubble every 2 seconds...is this slow?

    Ice to cool Wort

    I brewed a Cream Ale on Sunday. To cool the wort I froze 2 gallons of spring water, cut the plastic off and threw it in the fermenting bucket. Poured the hot wort onto the ice and the temp came down to 69/70 very quickly. Does anyone see if I may have any issues wth cooling the wort this way?
