    when to bottle

    Brewed my first ever Mead (non sparkling sack mead .. no fruit or anything)... about 6 weeks ago, currently sitting in secondary fermenter. Visible airlock activity stopped after 4 weeks or so. I'm planning on being patient and waiting a year or something but, I'm not really sure when to bottle...

    1.045 in secondary

    tried the first mini mash ever, Saison...made yeast stater 500 ML (too small?) bubbled fairly happy in primary, racked to Carboy after 7 days....i might mention that since in secondary, will give a bubble every 15 sec or so....anyway, it has been in secondary two weeks but the SG is at 1.045 the...

    first mini mash

    First mini mash yesterday .....Saison! Took awhile before I stuck the thermometer deeper in the mash realizing it was about 20° warmer towards the bottom. Has me wondering if I should be reading temps in the middle or top of the Tun (stainless steel pot)......or if I just need to stir more...or...
