It comes from Mexico so maybe it'll be cheaper down South? I get it for $2.40 in Western Washington.

Oh. So it's a tap for a sankey keg not a corney keg. Is there any use in this type of tap for a homebrewer? I have sankey kegs but I use them for boiling.

I'm soaking some rose pedals in vodka and water right now. Has anyone ever added flavored vodka to mead? I'm wondering if it'll hurt anything.

Agave research

Has anyone ever used agave nectar for wine/mead making? I've used it for the last few years and think it is amazing! Floral agave wines make me a very happy man.

Is there a reference out there that contains fruit and vegetable sugar percentages?

I'm interested in making more non-traditional wines but don't know how much sugar is in whatever I'm harvesting...

Force carbing bottles

I'm getting into force carb kegging.

After I charge up a corney keg and let it sit for a few weeks can I bottle the beer? Or should I just bottle w/ priming sugar as I rack to the corney?

What do you mean by "munich can convert itself but not much else"?

I wasn't aware malts...

This is my first fly sparge. I've always used batch sparging with my mini-mashes. I spent about 25 minutes sparging. I will try longer tomorrow.

Super low efficiency

So I put my new MLT to use! It worked very well but my efficiency sucked. I measured a gravity of 1.014 at 124 degrees... so 1.025ish. Supposed to be 1.060.

5# german munich
4# wheat
1# crystal...
