I want to try and do this for our next Home Brew Club meeting and I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas or has done this. I know there is that one kit that can be ordered but I'm not spending $150 on this.

I swear I saw on here at one point a list of easy ways to recreate the most common off flavors.

Any ideas?

there are a few you could probably find yourself like lactic acid, vinegar for acetobacter, diacetyl is in a lot of the 'butter flavored' butters. you might even be able to use some canned corn for DMS.. whatever you try, i've heard you should use a 'lite' beer to do this with to make sure you can taste the off flavors. you could have things like nail polish and the canned corn just to smell. do it blind or something...
