Can someone explain what "mash tun weight" is and what it is used for? This is for BeerSmith2

The actual weight of your mash tun. Used to determine how much heat loss when adding your water.

The weight is combined with the specific heat to determine how much heat the mash tun will absorb and it allows you to correct your strike temp so that you hit your mash temp but you have to click the box that says adjust temp for equipment on the mash tab of the recipe.
