I need a really dumb question about illuminated switches answered...

Do they have a separate contact on them for the LED or is it drawn from the switched contact block (that NC/NO thing) connection?

Ok good.
That's what I hoped...but then realized usually when I expect something to work that way it usually doesn't.

And of course I already ordered my parts before I knew the answer...

Jay,
On illuminated switches like that, they typically use the contact block posts for the lamp connections.

I should really stop thinking about this till I get the part in my grubby hands...would save me asking the dumb ones :)

And the more I think about it...it will work either way.

If it has its own connections...I'll just wire them separately
If it works off the connector blocks...I'll just wire it to the NC side of the NO/NC block and it just won't be lit up while I push it

I can deal with that

Just curious, what process are you using momentary switches for?

I've got a ton of Allen-Bradley push buttons, and I'm trying to figure out what I can use them for! :cross:
