Yes Beer Fans, a chili cook off, but the catch is, you have to use your beer in your chili.
I'm organizing a chili cook off for my neighborhood, and as with most new things, it is lightly populated, so I thought about opening it to brewing buddies (after all, I won the peoples choice award with my last chili that had my Porter in it).
Those that are interested should mark their calendars for Sunday, Feb. 24th. and send me a PM RSVP.
Propane ignition at 9:30am
Entrants $15 per adult, $10 for under 18's (this goes for prizes)
Great Prizes for Top 3, Under 18's, & Peoples Choice
2 Kegs of Homebrew, Lemonade & Paper Goods provided (feel free to BYOB).
RULES : Entrants must provide their own stoves, cooking
equipment, folding tables & ingredients. Chili is to consist of any kind of
meat, with or without beans, or combinations thereof, cooked with chili
peppers, spices and other ingredients. NO ingredients may be pre-cooked or
treated in any way prior to the event. The only exceptions are canned or
bottled tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth and grinding or mixing of spices. All
other ingredients MUST be prepared & cooked on site.
Judging begins at 3:00 PM with the winners announcement immediately following.
