ahoy, despite numerous very tasty sounding suggestions for brewing an IPA, i sort of put one together myself to stray away from doing mini mash kits...here it is

1# Maris Otter Pale
1/2# Cara-pils
8oz Crystal
2# Light DME
9# Gold LME
Wyeast 1332 Northwest Ale Activator

1oz Fuggles (@55 min)
.5oz Amarillo (@40 min)
.5oz Amarillo (@30 min)
.25oz Amarillo (@15 min)
.75oz Amarillo (@2 min)
1oz Amarillo (dryhop @secondary)

initial reading showed 1.075

This is just something i pieced together, i think ill call it Rusty Cutlass IPA (if it turns out well)

comments, critique, questions are welcome and encouraged....:tank:

oh yea also i was going to ask if anyone can run that through brewing software if its possible?

im thinking about getting beersmith or beer tools or one of those, any thoughts?

I can run it on ProMash, which crystal are you using though? I might use a higher AA hop at 60 minutes, looks like a good recipe otherwise.

oh yea it was crystal 40°, sorry! i was thinking of going with magnum or chinook @60 mins for the higher AA but i guess i was afraid i might have over done it! but probably not....remember this is my first non-recipe or kit ive ever attempted so i was kind half going on a whim...lol
