5 # vienna
2 # light munich
1 # special B
8 oz honey malt
1 oz wilamette 60 min
1 tsp irish moss 15 min
mashed 2.75 gallons @ 158 for 1 hour
batch sparged half/half 4.75 gallons @ 185 F
hit about 80%
Methinks its very awesome. For a more "standard" (read: bland) beer, you could decrease the honey malt to 4 oz, the special b to 12 or 8 oz, add an oz or 2 of roast barley, maybe mash a little lower, use a different yeast if desired, and increase the hops or add an aroma hop. For me, that was not the point of this brew. It's very drinkable. :cross:
