So I finally got off my ass and got a account here so I can start posting instead of just reading all of the great advice here.
After working for a small micro brewery (brewing around 10 kegs at a time) and doing a few of my own home brews I am finally going to attempt my first high grav brew at home.
I am doing a IIPA and I am going to use a yeast starter (doing it tonight) for the first time since the grav is high.
Here are the goods going into this bad boy.
10lb light extract
12oz Wheat malt
4oz Dextrin malt
4oz Arromatic malt
2oz Magnum @ 60 min
1oz Green Bullet @ 10 min (I decided to us GB because I ran out of Columbia)
1oz Green Bullet @ 0 min
And I am going to dry hop with some of my home grown Cascade hops in the secondary.
OG is suposed to be 1.070 to 1.073.
Any last suggestions or tips on making my first Imperial a wonderfull brew?
I do full boils (all 5 gallons, well actaully 6 to start) and I have a wort chiller.
Thanks for all the great brewing minds on here. Brew day is Friday for me.
