I ordered the AHS Blonde Rye kit and am planning on brewing this weekend. When I plugged the recipe in to beer smith the IBU's came to 50.3 which out of the guideline for the style that it is (American Wheat or Rye Beer). It calls for .75 ounce Nugget Hops at 60 minutes and 1 ounce of select hops at 15 minutes. Should I adjust the amounts to get the IBU's down to 30 (the sytle guide line) or just brew it as is?

I'm not sure if the kit is steering to make some special type of beer that's overhopped for the style or to make a beer to style. It certainly isn't to style as it is. I can see using Spalt Select hops but not Nugget. I think I'd suggest you stay within the 15-30 IBU range with this maybe using an ounce of Hallertauer for bittering instead of the Nugget. Good luck with this one.
