Partial - Teaching an old recipie new tricks

Recipe Type: Partial Mash
Yeast: Wyeast 1272 American ale II
Yeast Starter: yes
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.042
Final Gravity: 1.008
IBU: 10.8
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: srm 6.2
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14
Tasting Notes: Just like A bud light but only better


2#crystal 10
2.5# Light DME
1# honey
Cascade hops (pellets but use leaf if available)

Bring to a boil steep crystal malt for 15mins, also mix in DME. At start of 60min boil add .25oz of cascade hops at 30 mins add .25oz and .25oz and 1# honey at 5 mins stir through out the boil i did every 5 mins. using ice bath or wort chiller bring to 68-70F primary for 1 week secondary 2 weeks use irish Moss if you like in secondary. i bottled with honey about a Tsp per bottle but you can also use dextrose(corn sugar)
