I would be leery of using a carboy with cracks no matter how small. Could lead to a big crack which could lead to a broken carboy which could lead to serious injury. If it doesn't break it could harbor bacteria in the cracks which could contaminate future batches. If it were me I would get a new...
Thanks for the replies. I think I will go ahead and give the priming solution a shot on Friday when I bottle. When I add it to the bucket and start transferring the beer into it, does that provide enough mixing or should I stir it slowly a few times to make sure it's mixed well?
