    bubbles in my beer line

I had the exact same problem on one of my corny kegs....you could see bubbles in the beer line....the result was over carbonation. I guess the gauge was inaccurate. So I lowed the pressure in the line, disconnected the keg, shook the keg, released the co2, repeat the shake method and all was well.

    irish moss and lagers

dubicus: I don't see why you can't use irish moss....I personally use whirlfloc tablets in the last 10 minutes of the boil for all my lagers, why...? its only because I've always used it with great success.......Whirlfloc is just a blend of Irish moss and purified carrageenan..... hope this...

Overcarbed what can I do for today?

taipans: I recently forced carb'd two different kegs with the same pressure applied. One came out perfect, the other was all foam. One of my gages must be wrong. What I did was unhook the keg, shake the hell out of it, then purged all the gas. I then repeated the shake method and then purged...

    Yeast Cake and oxygen

I'm going to try my first attempt at dumping my wort on top of a previous batch of beer I just racked...My question is, I normally induce oxygen to the wort before I add the yeast as I understand that introducing oxygen after pitching will kill the yeast. If thats correct, and I'm not adding...

    Short lager time?

I'm fermenting a czech pilsner right now....I'm in week 2 of fermentation with 2 weeks being my schedule and 6 weeks of lagering at close to freezing as I can get...as far as a diacetyl rest, to me, the only way to tell is to taste it....I do everything at about 50F and I never had to do a "d"...
