    True Story. My son and I were hooked even before we cracked a bottle out of sheer anticipation. Got a small batch kit and put an Irish Red in the fermenter on Wednesday, and we're going to Kalamazoo to Bell's for their home brew demonstration this Wednesday.     One gallon fermentation question

    I'm fermenting a small batch of Irish Red, and after the first couple of days, there is a pretty substantial amount of scum at the top of the jug. Question: do I reintroduce the stuff back into the wort by tilting the jug, or just leave it alone?
