I use zaterains rootbeer extract. Over 15 gallons now and no problems settling. Its a little minty but my kids like it. Any suggestions for a beer recipe that finishes out around 5-6% abv, but has very little taste? Maybe I could do a regular beer, with no hops, and finish out at 6%, then use...

I keep a keg of root beer on tap for the kids. I've never had a "thinning" problem like that. What extract did you use? And did the taste change or was it just color loss?

I have the ingredients to make a 5 gal batch of this just havent gotten around to it, anyone kegged it? I left bottles and havent looked back.

I am in my 2nd batch of this, the first time I did 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary, and about a 3 week bottle age. And it came out amazing.

Correction, the west ga area DESIRES a homebrew store! I would brew twice as much if I didnt have to drive 45 minutes each way to get ingredients. And I know many people interested until they ask "where do you buy the stuff to make it?"

Do they stock a good amount of ingredients? This place just makes more sense for me to drive to than brewmasters warehouse.

Let me try to contact a couple of guys in this area to see if there is any interest.

So what are you guys using for a heat source? I am sure it has been covered, but I'm too lazy to read 383 pages.

Someone need to open something on the westside. We got no homebrew love over here. Its a 45 minute drive to brewmasters whse, and thats the closest place to buy grain ingredients.
