Well I honestly didn't know what water to use so I got distilled water.

I lost the lid to the bucket included in the start up kit in a move LHBS was closed so I started fermenting in plastic carboy. Bad move lol. Was that wrong?

I did sanitize the new tubing and the plug after getting back from the store.

The second question is.... Because i didnt wash the plug.... Will that be a problem as well?

Well it's my second batch. Things were going a lot better on making the wort. It's the fermenting getting me this time. Woke up to an active carboy. No big deal. Later I come out and found my bubbler on the ground. I just put it back on without washing it. As you can see in the picture...
