I went to my local DME (durable medical equipment) dealer and got an O2 tank. Connected it via tubing to my bottling wand and and gave it about a minutes worth at 4L/minute. Had bubbling and foam 8hrs later.
I agree buy your own mill if you full grain brew. For me, as a dedicated partial masher I let my trusty Brew Shop mill mine http://www.ucanbrewtoo.com/
So the airlock clogged, blew hop residue everywhere. Lost a gallon. Can I add a gallon of water in the secondary and still have good beer ? Plan on 3 weeks in the secondary.
This may not count, but make sure you trim off the triangle extrusion nipple on the bottom. That's what clogged on my blow off and caused a hop spray explosion all over my living room furniture !
I brewed a Batch of HG Strong Belgian Strong Ale yesterday and woke up this morning with a clogged airlock but no explosion ! Installed a blowoff tube. My question is did the pressure overnight harm the yeast ? It's running out of the blowoff tubes like gangbusters now.
