I'm in daytona beach for bike week and wanna know if anyone knows where to find good beers at? I'd love to get my hands on some pliney or something that we don't have in MD. I'm actually staying up by flagler beach. Any help would be preciated.

I am too;) I still think it's a fridge. It's one of those small ones that has the little freezer compartment up top. Next time Ill turn it all the way down. So just put 1/3 pack of liquid or dry yeast or does it not really matter?

Yeah I probably did. But every time I tried to grab a sample from the spigot on the fermentor it had trub in it. Makes it hard to get a good SG reading. Plus I want the bucket to start another batch. Sooo I'll let it sit for another 3 weeks or so in the secondary, then start dry hopping...

Thanks guys. This is my first beer. So really as long as I don't hospitalize myself after I drink it, I'll be happy. But I want it to be pretty good too. I'm afraid with that high OG that it's gonna taste like brown sugar water.

I calibrated my hydrometer using distilled water and it read 1.001. So its close. I think I will dry hop. I love hoppy beers.

I made my first batch of IPA from a kit that came from Williams Brewing about a week ago. The kit came with a pouch of flavoring and aroma pellet hops, but nothing for dry hopping. My understanding is that most IPA's are dry hopped. My OG was 1.12. This seems high to me but I'm thinking...
