    EdWort's Apfelwein

Hi all, I am kegging my Apfelwein at room temperature @ 26psi. I planned on drinking most of it at room temperature. I was wondering if it's possible to bottle a few bottles later on at room temperature. I've read its messy with beer. Wondering if it would cause the same problem here. Also, I...

Viability of Harvesting Yeast that Has Fermented High Gravity Worts

Mutations are often present in a gene pool. Sometimes these mutations aren't noticeable until an event occurs. Such as high levels of alcohol. The surviving yeast would display characteristics that would allow them to survive in these hostile environments. These mutations would thus be...

Need help for a birthday brew!

Yea I would go with both as well. Some people really aren't fond of Stouts. But I would make a nice thick stout for the winter. Have you checked out any of the winter ales in the recipe section? Side note - My girlfriend is about to start her nursing program one month from now and is nervous...

    Working on a recipe

I am looking for a mouthfull type beer. Preferably barley based, I am unsure about my hops. I wanted to see what you guys think. I did this with my iphone app called "brew pal". It's an awesome software and I can see it saving my ass when I am at my LHBS and can't decide on something. Anyway...

    Help with a recipe

There are plenty of extract recipes. Have you looked under the Recipe section? Try searching in the recipe section with the words extract. You should find a bunch. Remember any recipe can be turned into an extract recipe. You just need to use a converter(forgot where it is exactly).
