    Brew Boss Systems

I'd honestly look at something like a hops spyder. https://utahbiodieselsupply.com/brewingfilters.php It made a huge difference for me.

    Question re: SS mesh baskets

Great Idea with the oil pan. I had been searching for something that was the right diameter to set my basket in. I made some hooks to let it sit on top of the pot and drain but I don't think they are sturdy enough to hold up to me pressing the grain.

    Question re: SS mesh baskets

When I switched to a basket I started making better beer I feel like. I'm not sure what it was but everything tastes better now. I also started using a small mesh basket for hops as well and my beer is so much clearer now as well.

    Question re: SS mesh baskets

Yes, Arborfab builds the baskets for Utah Bio Diesel.

    Question re: SS mesh baskets

My basket from Arbo fab has built in legs that are a couple inches long so I'd go that route.

Agreed, it is a very quality piece. I finally have a hops basket so hopefully my issue with hops debris clogging things up won't happen this weekend when I brew. Edit: Brewed today with a new hops basket, grain basket and the dip tube. Wow! Makes life so much easier.

    Shut up take my money!

Hey op, I am local to little rock and suggest taking a tour of one of our breweries if you haven't already. I go to the water Buffalo for my ingredients and they offer beginner classes and unless you are brewing with a semi experience friend if look into a quick class. Just my experience as I...

    It's been 10 days...

Just check my gravity again and it hasn't budged. Also tasted the beer and it seems to has soured... Any thoughts? Edit, I think my taste buds may be playing a tricks on me. I'm on some anti biotics and I'm afraid that may be the problem.

American Pale Ale Dale's Pale Ale

I couldn't get it down to 1.012. It was sitting at 1.028 for several weeks and I repitched and warmed it up a bit and got it down to 1.022 but no futher. It's been sitting another two weeks and I'm going to let it go until Sunday and then Keg it.

How do you know how much yeast you actually have? I'd hate to under pitch again.

It's been 6 days since I pitched again and i tested the gravity today and it was only at 1.026 where it was 1.028 last Friday. I guess I'm just going to let it sit another two weeks and see what happens.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Bravo. I need a table for mine that is more permanent. I did not buy the coffee system but just recently bought a basket from arbofab, should be here next week! I also didn't buy the hops boss but might in the future. I will say it takes a bit of programming to get everything just right but...

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely start using CO2 to blow my chiller out.

I have a hops basket on order so maybe that is the problem. It will be here when I brew my next batch. I understand that. Guess I was curious how you were pressurizing the kettle but now that I have reread it I don't think you are.
