    My experience with local welder

    Guess we are lucky here in the Midwest. Swagman charges 12.00 per 1/2 coupler and furnishes the coupler. He also turn down's half of the coupler to 1 inch drill's the hole and back flows the welds. Says he like to help and keep himself busy. Woodie

    Why do we cut the keggle like we do.

    Had Swagman cut my kegs and this is what he came up with. Just wish the powers to be would let him on the board but I guess the all mighty dollar is in first and the brewers second Woodie

    Looking for welding advice.

    ED When it comes to hole into the keg I use good quality hole saws. The 1 1/2 ferrule is 1.500 OS so I used a 1 1/2 hole saw used a clamp to hold in position cap the ferrule and back flowed. Couple of tacks and than its off to races. Woodie

    For electric element this what I had Swagman build for myself Its 1 1/2 Ferrell with a 1inch SS not nut which is straight threads. Its built so the box and element can be removed with removable of one 11/2 clamp. Hope this helps Woodie

    Keg Transfer

    Have started using kegs for fermentation. Biggest problem I had was transfer. This is what I came up with. Had the swagman build using a 2 inch cap that has a thermo well, SS racking cane and ball gas hook up. The racking cane is adjustable. Just hook up the Co2 and transfer. Woodie
