i stripped the heatshrink off the suspect probe and it dripped out rusted water lol. the sensor slipped out of the housing easily and one of the leads had completely rusted off the sensor. glad i only had it in water to test lol I dont have a dedicated psu for the arduino but is is on a...

I hate to resurrect a thread this old but it might answer a tough question for me. I want to do a kettle sour but have no way of maintaining temp. Do you guys think one of these would maintain 115ish in a vessel holding the kettle? Ie: a Rubbermaid container full of water with the kettle...

one more question if you dont mind. i understand there are a few different kinds of temp probes, rtd, k, etc. Do these cheap controllers accept any type, or are they designed for a certain kind? the data sheet for the rnr pid doest specify rtd as a valid input, but it does say pt100 and k...

gotcha, that was my understanding and the only piece i issued the return on. would keep the controller but i have a few stc-1000's and a diy brewpi. amazon is pretty reasonable on returns anyway. thanks again!
