How about using a 2-inch blow-off tube? I've cut the tops off my sankes long ago so I don't recall the exact diameter of the coupler once the tube is removed.

Sounds to me like you are getting a reasonable quote for the welding work you are talking about. Here in central IL I deal with 3 different welding shops. Comparing to other projects they have done for me you are probably getting a good deal

I have unfortunetly just enjoyed my last bottle of Eau Benite from Unibroue and it looks like I may never again see this delicious beverage in a bottle again. Has anyone ever brewed this crazy beverage before. Looking to make this the homebrew all-grain beer #100 .
