    Need a burner for keggle

I must have.miscommunicated. The TB650 has 3 BG12 burners. Has anyone had any experience with these burnerz ? I had thought to buy a TB650 AND scavenge the burners, and regulators from the TB650 and mount them on a custom rig

    Need a burner for keggle

I'm working myself up to building a Hermes, was thinking of transplanting the burners from the tb650 into the rig. Are there any reasons anyone could think of why this wouldn't work? And are the burners on that stove up to the task? I read somewhere that all three can't be run at once, would...

    DIY cooling system

Also, would there be any alternatives to an ice bed? Couple large frozen gel packs perhaps?

    DIY cooling system

So would putting it on an ice bed inside a freezer work? With the freezer keeping the ice frozen?

    DIY cooling system

So, the other day I was walking thru a flea market (great place for finding kegging stuff), and I saw a grey block with 12 nozzels on it. Odd looking thing, 13"L x 8"W. I asked the guy what it was, and apparently the old school cornelius soda machines used to run the water/syrup mix thru this...

    My Keezer

I used screw in half clamps. The benefit, is that if you stagger them right, the clamps below can support the hose aobe. It never occured to me to mount to the lid. wouldnt it be tough to set the hinges right? It is a bit tough to lift the kegs in and out, one of the things I'd do differently...

    My Keezer

I started brewing almost 2 years ago, and I found out very soon just how fast it can go from a hobby to a full blown obsession. The thing that flipped the obsession switch for me, was an article on the AHA forum called: "The Amazing Transformation of Ross' Kegerator" I had up until that point...

    Hydrometer wierdness

So, I made a Hef. OG 1.050. Wyeast Hef II starter on a stirplate. Had one of the most robust fermentations I've ever seen. Lasted 4 days. Checked the SG, and there has been no movement, it's still at 1.050. Tried a different hyrdo, same reading. There's no activity in the airlock...

    Stirplate build

Well, folks. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your kindness and helpfulness. Special shout out to Hang Glider, that picture of yours is what worked the magic. Right now, I'm doing trials with the plate, I have a 2000ml flask with cleaner in it, swirling a way at 9v...

    Stirplate build

@bob1006, haven't tried it yet, I was having a minor epiphany upon seeing the diagram. :) thargrav. What 'size' pot should I be getting? From my snooping around the net, most folks use a Radio Shack special, I've seen folks us 25 ohms pots. These were 10,000 ohms. what spec should I be...
