I must have.miscommunicated. The TB650 has 3 BG12 burners. Has anyone had any experience with these burnerz ? I had thought to buy a TB650 AND scavenge the burners, and regulators from the TB650 and mount them on a custom rig

I'm working myself up to building a Hermes, was thinking of transplanting the burners from the tb650 into the rig. Are there any reasons anyone could think of why this wouldn't work? And are the burners on that stove up to the task? I read somewhere that all three can't be run at once, would...

Also, would there be any alternatives to an ice bed? Couple large frozen gel packs perhaps?

So would putting it on an ice bed inside a freezer work? With the freezer keeping the ice frozen?

I used screw in half clamps. The benefit, is that if you stagger them right, the clamps below can support the hose aobe. It never occured to me to mount to the lid. wouldnt it be tough to set the hinges right? It is a bit tough to lift the kegs in and out, one of the things I'd do differently...

So, I made a Hef. OG 1.050. Wyeast Hef II starter on a stirplate. Had one of the most robust fermentations I've ever seen. Lasted 4 days. Checked the SG, and there has been no movement, it's still at 1.050. Tried a different hyrdo, same reading. There's no activity in the airlock...
