It is a cool idea. But if you have lots of industrialization or farming in your area you might want to pass. All the chemicals that evaporate into the air will end up in the snow. Not all that stuff you want to drink, even after you boil your water. My aunt lives in an area of Montana that...
The RPM is fantastic. I haven't had the hop venom, but it is on my list to try when it comes in my area. I did read on their website that they use four northwest hop varieties. Perhaps someone could get the skinny on what specific varieties they do use.
So I'm in the process of trying to come up with a solid IPA with Belgian yeast. I thought I would start with the yeast strain and go from there. Any yeast suggestions?
What they need to do is sell their tickets as a per day event. Or even package things per day with all events of the day being price A and a daily price for just social and no seminars price B. Each day would be a different price based on the nights events they offered. I think if they did it...
I have a lager going at the moment at 42°f. Had a great starter and started the fermentation in my house, at 68°f, then dropped it down in a fridge over a few days. Still lots of activity going on. I have the beer in a fridge that I have at its lowest setting atm. I wish the beer was...

I too plan on attending this year. My club is hosting a booth and I can't wait to try the beer of other brewers from across the country. One thing to keep in mind is the NHC isn't really in Seattle, it is in Bellevue. So you will need to do a bit of traveling to get to places like Brouwers...
I got my SS washers at Ace. They didn't have any standard sized ones and I had to go with metric. This actually gave me a better fit for the set up I've got. Unfortunately they were .99¢ each. I ended up snagging a few in case I ran into leaking issues and needed more pressure for the seal.
I've always lucked out with Irish Moss. A few people from my homebrew club and I have been experimenting with ways to maximize IM. One member found that crushing it smaller gave it more surface area to do its magic. I've been adding a touch of sparge water to my Irish Moss when I sparge...
