    Nitro balancing

My gas is a 30/70 blend - not pure nitrogen. Second - the keg was originally carbonated (and dispensed) on 100% CO2. Hence burping the keg to reduce its carbonation to something more suitable for the nitro system. Just to be clear, when I say a glass of foam I don't mean a standard Guinness...

    Nitro balancing

Hi all, I've recently amassed the gear for a nitro system to run in parallel with my existing standard kegging setup. A quick run down of my gear... I'm running 30/70 blend gas. I have a NADS stout faucet from Chi which is connected to a corny via ~80cm of beverage tube. At the moment...

    Gas mix for nitro

Hi all - I have some questions about gas mix for a nitro stout setup. Essentially the question boils down to whether a nitro setup will work acceptably on 40/60 mix as opposed to the standard 30/70? My question stems from the fact that in Australia the 30/70 mix comes with a different...

NADS vs Krome Dispense stout faucet

I'm looking to add a stout faucet to my keezer. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the differences between the NADS and Krome Dispense stout faucets I see on Chi Company. The NADS is twice the price (at $100), but am I getting a better outcome? I'm also looking to put it on my...

    1/4" OD line for keezer?

Just to clarify - I've been talking outside diameter (OD). To convert to inside diameter - I'm looking to put 0.17" ID lines instead of 0.187" ID (3/16") lines. (Being metric-ly minded I'm not sure what 0.17 equates to as a fraction!)

    1/4" OD line for keezer?

I'm just on the finishing stretch with my new keezer and it's now time to plumb all the taps and kegs together. Up until now i have simply had lines running from a reg to the gas disconnect and from the liquid to a beer gun. These were in the 5/16" OD John Guest line (3/16" ID, iirc). All...

Green GROLSCH Beer Bottle 390 bottles

Easier cleaning cycle, greater control over carbing, faster to get beer in a drinkable condition (eg forgetting about a party until the week before! :o), takes up less storage room, the smugness that comes of having draft beer in your own home, ...

Poll: Which Post do you Force Carb With?

I gas liquid side, shake and drink 20min later.

    Quick carb question

I find it helps considerably - otherwise I wouldn't bother. But there you go, each to their own.

how much beer is left ???

If you take your keg out of the cold for even just a minute or two the condensation line tells you exactly how much beer is left. That's the way I've always determined how much liquid is left in a keg.

    Quick carb question

I connect my gas to the beer out post, set my reg to about the same pressures you're talking about (140kPa / 6psi) and rock the keg about vigorously. Just like shaking a bottle of coke lets the pressure out in a low pressure environment, this lets the gas in in a high pressure environment. You...

    Show us your Kegerator

Hey all (first post on these forums), I'm embarking on my keezer build. As you can see I'm taking some of my construction cues off Amiaji's build. One question I have is: do you recommend making a collar for the existing lid or simply building a new wooden lid and insulating it appropriately?
