I brewed this exactly the same as the recipe. Turned out very good. I may rase the mash temp a few degrees to up the residual sweetness but other than that wont change a thing. Took a bit longer than 6 weeks to get crystal clear so may use gel on next years batch or just let it sit. The pick...
Just racked into secondary can't wait to keg. Hope it drops a few more points before then so I can hit my numbers. Smells and looks good oh and taste good to.

I just got done making this exactly as posted and hope it turns out good. I am a fan of the Octoberfest by SA so hope it is close. Planing on going with the 1 week primary 4 weeks secondary and 1 week in keg before taping.

Update I put this beer in the keg two days ago and it smells and taste good for room temp flat beer. OG was 1.066 and FG was 1.006 so should be around 7.8 ABV. Just added some gelatin to clear it up and hope to be drinking this time next week.
I am a big fan of the Duck Rabbit Brown Ale and would like to make a clone. I was thinking of just tweaking a standard brown ale recipe with Amarillo hops in the boil and Saaz dry hoped but there website says they use a "grain bill of seven varieties of malt." So looking for some input.
