    Can you bypass a propane timer?

    I have a turkey fryer with a timer on it. I drilled a hole in the knob and wired it to the wound up position with a piece of wire. Works great lasts a long time.

    I got mine delivered yesterday and mine have some of the small imperfections that others have listed. They aint fine crystal, they are beer glasses. They look good to anyone drinking beer. I expect them to get broken. I put two in the kitchen and the rest into storage.

    fliptops good? or no good?

    I have a case of EZ Cap swingtops (32 oz) and I have never had a problem with them. I bought these back in 2004 and I'm still using the original gaskets. I use these for every batch I bottle if some are empty. They are a good investment.

    Your not suppose to be using a airlock and a blow tube at the same time. Your orange carboy cap should have come with 2 little white caps, plug the empty hole with one one of those. Your cider is taking the route of least resistance through the airlock. I use one of those orange caps every time...
