    Stirplate for Carboys?

It's a 6.5 gallon carboy. I used a 12v 1a dc fan and a 50 lb rated 2 inch bar magnet. Rather than a rheostat, I opted for a LM317 based voltage regulator. It is kind of a pain to get the thing balanced on the center but I don't have many issues with throwing. It usually takes me a few tries to...

    Replacing March Pump cord

I briefly contemplated doing this. I decided to splice the cord inside a 1 gange waterproof electrical box with a waterproof switch. Now I can switch the pump off without running 20 feet to the outlet.

Anyone have a dedicated whirlpool tank?

I've thought about it but more from the standpoint of quicker turn around before the next batch (for multi batch days).

    LG 3-MD-HC inlet

I tried to get 1/2 Si tubing over a 3/4 barb and failed. Ended up getting a 3/4 npt to 5/8 barb and it is working great. They had them in stock at the ace down the street.

    Powdered Starsan

I recommend using a sanitizer. It's cheap insurance and cleaning != sanitation.

    Powdered Starsan

It's a mixture of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid and phosphoric acid. If you want to try and source and mix that stuff, that is your buisness. StarSan is cheap per use. I suggest grabbing it in bulk and not mixing such big batches.
