Simple side by side same temp ideas?

There are a few side-by-side conversions on here. I did one, making the freezer the dispensing side and the fridge a fermentation chamber. It sounds like you want to have independent control over both sides? The problem is most fridges (all maybe, idk) have all of the active cooling on the...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

Somehow I still have about half a case in the basement that I rediscover every so often. This is from a batch I brewed over a year ago. They are still damn tasty.

    Dirty bottles

I've heard that complaint before. I don't remember exactly where I got my brush, amazon maybe. But I paid about $3 and it is still going strong more than a year later. A 20 second scrub, round and round, and they come out sparkling. Something I never could achieve before by any other method...

Even Donate a Vehicle to Charity?

I've donated 2. One to the Kidney foundation, a long time ago. One to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) a few months ago. In both cases the process was painless. They schedule a tow truck. You sign the title, hand over the keys, and let the DMV know you donated it. Both cars were old...

    Saving propane/time while winter brewing

BTW, I used my galvanized skirt as is but only wrapped about 3/4 of the way around my pot and used 3/4 inch spacers underneath. The spacers probably weren't necessary because it was open. Anyway, it still worked amazingly well. With about 3 inches of space all around the pot the skirt stayed...

    Saving propane/time while winter brewing

Hmm, ok. Maybe I will get the roll of thin flashing material that I saw online then. It was long enough to make more than one of these. So if it starts to break down it would be easy to quickly turn out another one. The skirt I made sits flat on the ground. It goes all the way around my BG14...

    Saving propane/time while winter brewing

Well, I finally got mine made. Except for a couple of mistakes (more below) this screen worked very well on a test run. I had a fast and strong boil. This was 9 gallons of water in cold and windy weather. In similar conditions I've had trouble keeping even 5 gallons just barely at a low boil...

    Pellicle Photo Collection

I haven't brewed any sours. Yet. But these photos are just awesome. Makes you wonder, though, who was the first guy or gal to see something like this and think, "yeah, I'll taste whatever is under that". :what:
