All right I want to win the corny dad joke kegger!!
My latest brew was an American hefeweisen with starfruit. It was wholesome and yet had that fruit flare that we've all come to love. Perfect for sipping by the poolside and grilling your favorite meats.
Sometimes the ideas are right under our nose and it takes us so long to click.
Tragic or ironic? We'll never know.😂
You gotta let me know your end result, bud.
While making my recent wort for a hefeweisen batch I noticed that I had a large bag of carrots in my fridge that weren't going to last for very much longer. So guess what I did...... that's right I threw in a carrot to my boil. Just one. Didn't go crazy.

Hi if I may offer my suggestion to your question. The "sweet, off taste" from my experience has come from too much air getting into the fermenter. My brew book calls it, "tanens". I am always disappointed when I get this sour wine-type taste in my beer. To further prevent I just quit messing...
Wow I just had to respond because I recently made a Pilsner too! It was fun to brew a simplified batch and low ABV. White Labs has very good yeast and I too have experienced action right away. Usually dies down after 2 nights. I wouldn't say that it is a run-of-the-mill strand because WL really...
