    How old are you? How long have you been brewing?

    Started brewing in 1981 after seeing an ad in a magazine(pre-internet). It was hopped extract w/ a crappy packet of pulverized hops and same kind of crappy yeast packet. Drank it all and my buddy said it was great. Don't remember enough about it to comment either way. Started sending for books...

    Question about Wyeast 1469 West Yorkshire Ale yeast

    Same experience for me, I had 10 lbs of Golden promise and decided to use 1469... made a small starter, pitched on Saturday afternoon and 8 hours after ptiching ..KABLOOEY! gobs and gobs of gobs and gobs...plugged a 1/2" blowoff line twice and blew the stopper out... today it has slowed enough...

    Crap! Typing on a iPadis making me crazy... I used a 1 liter starter and itq took right off.....

    I just made a batch using Malta India. 58 bottles plus I added a 1/2 gallon of water. Boiled and finished with a smidgen less than 5 gallons with a specific gravity of around 1.050.... Going to bottle this weekend.... Merry Christmas!

    My first cyser.... Followed an established recipe except used W/L English Cider yeast. No biggie...but three later at 68 degrees it's still bubbling away....this seems abnormal...smells fine.... Any cause for concern? Tom
