Always clean and sanitize your gear, even if it looks clean. I recommend using chemipro oxi.

I do think it 'slows down' the yeast or something, because I cold crashed a pilsner for a few days, then bottled it and it took 4 months to carb up. An earlyer batch of the same stuff which I did not cold crash carbed up in 2 weeks.

I've brewed a banana beer by adding mashed bananas to the secondary of an amber ale. It did have a banana taste, but not a lot. But I didnt use a yeast that gives banana flavour like drathbone suggests.

Hey, I've brewed some chilibeer using chilipeppers about a year ago, and i must warn you: Take it REALLY easy on the peppers, whichever drink you are making. My chilibeer contained only 2 or 3 peppers in 10L, and it came out so hot 'n spicey, it's impossible to drink more than one sip!

Alst u blieft. But do keep in mind that not everything they have in the shop is also in their webshop. For example, we used the apple concentrate from Finlandia, which they sell in Almere, but isn't listed in their webshop!
