Notice that he is using 1/2 oz of starsan per gallon which is way too much. 1/2 oz per 2.5 gallons is more accurate according to their directions..

Have noticed locally that pellets are gone but whole hops are still around. Same with Centennial.

Agreed - I never take a FG reading until I am bottling. Pitch enough yeast and wait the right time and you'll be good. Never understood the logic of opening up your fermentor for 3 days straight to make sure the FG was not still dropping. Just wait a few weeks and it will be done. Every time.

Laziness is the only reason that my beers sit in primary for more than a couple weeks. I justify it in my mind saying that it will only get better but really I am just lazy. Finding the time to f up the kitchen and make the noise etc. really only happens on one or two nights a week. If I miss...

After a couple years of doing this I find myself just brewing a few recipes that I like over and over. Last 6 months or so have been all repeats. 4 or 5 recipes and once one is gone I just do it again. I need to snap out of it but its hard when I KNOW the recipe will be good. Good to have...

What Yooper said - Basically, partial mash is mashing as much grain as you can and then adding extract to get your total fermentable sugar. The main ingredient in most recipes is say 2-row which is basically lme or dme in grain form. Most recipes have the highest percentage of ingredients...
