I can get either Tactical nuclear penguin or Sink the Bismark locally if interested let me know. All I think you need to do is take a pliny the elder clone from AHS, add enough corn sugar/DME to the boil, add a high gravity tolerant yeast strain, and freeze distill finish it off with a good...
Agree with this, though not impossible diet needs to be pretty strict and cardio heavy on drinking days. I Carb cycle so I just make my carb up days my beer days.
I agree 1.5-2.0 lbs of coconut, I'd go unsweetend I've done both and unsweetend is better. after toasting the coconut put in a large grain bag with some boiled marbles to keep the coconut from floating and allow to sit 4-6 days. much longer than 7 and I find it tends to dry out the beer. Not...
Before I get to my post let me start by saying if this is in anyway not allowed someone let me know ASAP and I will edit/remove it.
That being said, I want to do my own version of Brewdogs Sink the Bismarck, meaning an uber hoppy beer that has been freeze distilled to a higher abv. My...
thanks for the advice I'll do that. However I''l probably only replant the whole plant into the same container, this is not a 5 gal bucket it is about 5 ft. wide by 4 feet tall. Will still bring it in for the winter though.
any advice?? just harvested my hops and need to know what to do. Also how far down do I trim the bine back to the soil and do I need to continue to water the container or just cut back and let the plant do its thing?
you forgot the most important thing! The faster the wort is in the primary the sooner it can start fermenting and eventually the sooner you can drink it! lol it maybe only 5-10min. earlier but in 5-10 min. I could be drinking another beer. :mug:
Figure I can get grains locally and yeast I just need to know which to do full extract or partial mash and how much extract/grain to pick up??

I do my immersion with an ice bath just to get that quick temp drop but it's only like 5 min. quicker. Not nessesary but neither is wirfloc and I always add that as well, I prefer a clear beer unless a wheat so I secondary and keg as well. Just my 2 cents.
Anyone ever had a black IPA? What's the difference in flavor? I know it uses debitterd grains so I'm guessing it's an IPA that's dark in color, am I correct?
quick response yoop, I just did my first year cascade harvest so I'm going to double the dry hops used and only do it for a week since I feel more than a week I run into grassy flavors. Yours is a pale and this is an IPA but they are so close I wanted to know what you feel it is closer to?
