    "No Chill" Containers

    Brew kettle or bucket/lid combo will likely not suffice. As the wort cools it creates a vacuum, you need to be able to seal the no-chill container after adding the boiling wort otherwise outside air (and containments) will be drawn into the container. The winpack actually collapses as it cools...

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

    I got my bag from Jeff 3 years ago. Never put mine in the washing machine, just toss it over the chain-link fence in the backyard and hose it off when I get done brewing. 500+ gallons and it's holding up fine. YMMV.

    Bummer man, sorry to hear that. Hopefully no one was hurt? You might want to consider replacing that broken carboy with plastic of some sort instead (buckets or Better Bottles). ;)

    It will simply up the ABV a bit and dry it out a little (guess what is in those Mr. Beer "Booster" packs?). Relax and enjoy!

    Next time try this: Instead of using the pump and recirculating, simply do your infusion and then let it set. I bet that you'll find that the temp doesn't drop more than 2-3 degrees over 90 minutes (instead of 7 degrees). Consider this: Your pump and hoses actually act like a heat exchanger...

    Keg is just like a bottle: if properly carbonated and sealed so that gas cannot leak out it should stay carbonated until the end of time.
