The one I got a quote from the Chinese manufacture is only an inch shorter (12 inches long) than the shirron but way more surface area.
I am going to see what the 30 plate b3-022 chiller would cost compared to the 60.
After some unit conversions I have compiled all the popular plate chillers and one that I got from a Chinese manufacture. As it seems they all appear the same construction, I was trying to figure out if it was worth while to get one from china. Heck Duda uses the same parts numbers and the...
I read this and thought that those temps would be lethal if you were in them, then I realized that this would be due to propane burners or the human torch brewing.
Anyone had temp issues with a metal shield over the pump body? I would assume 1" clearance for airflow.
looks like a hop back or hop unit of some sort. basically a filter with a screen to hold whole hops or leaf hops as the wort flows over them, before cooling
What all did you buy? There is a plate chiller manufacture that quoted me 145 bucks for a 60 plate chiller with 1/2 inch npt threads. Sounds like a great group buy.
Duda diesal 60 plate is 259
Therminator is 200
Its almost the end of the first week in January, any news on new SS pumps being back in stock? There was a sale on plastic pump head 809 march pumps today and I would rather have your stainless steel pump head. So I put off buying one of those.
Simple physics states that the pressure of a gas in a tube is the same pressure at all points along the tube.
What will and usually happens is that output from the propane tank is not high enough for 2 or more burners.
Say tank is 20 psi and each burner runs at 10, if you hooked up a...
I believe tim the tool man taylor installed a vent fan once. I think that is what you need.
Here you go, not the one I was looking for but it is a vent hood, apparently homebrewtalk wont let me link to specific time, its a 4:22 in that video
How many cans did it take for the rust inhibitor, and do you plan on having a high temp paint near the burners or places where the keggles will contact the frame?
I went with 14 gauge 1.5" square tube steel with 1" angle iron for keggle supports, each burn section is 2'x'2 with 9" gap between the three sections
For 20 foot of 1" angle, and 80 foot of 1.5" 14 gauge square tube only cost 100 bucks, and I picked it up locally.
here are some pics...
