Great work, guys! You're making me need to get off my bum and build one!
A few questions, though:
What model freezer did you use?
What thermostat did you use?
How many hours did the project take?
How much did it cost?
And, any other tidbits you might wanna share!
Cheers!

Well, it was deleted after almost a 6 weeks of us posting an working out the buy, and it was the day the pallets arrived at our shipping destination. Everyone had paid me by check or PayPal, so I just called/emailed them to arrange pickup and delivery. Still, getting it canned on the last day...
Just a warning to everyone, I got my New England Keg Group Buy deleted because I'm not a vendor. Apparently that's an rule important rule.

Nice graphic! I have a question about boiling for five minutes, though. I thought the purpose of boiling was to make sure there isn't any contamination. I know that water only needs to reach a boil to be sanitized because a few seconds at 85°C will kill microbes, so by the time it's at a boil...

I understand not calling sparkling wine Champagne unless it was made in the Champagne region of France, or not calling whiskey Scotch unless it was made in Scotland, or even the Kolsch style for beer. But, are Extra Special Bitters and English Pales the same? I thought it was much more of a...
Wow, $35 for uncleaned pin-locks and $45 for dirty ball-locks? That's not a good deal. You can just buy them from an online merchant for $40 shipped and call it a day.
I let my ales sit in the secondary at least a week and a half. If there are any off flavors, longer. Time tends to cure many things. I made a small porter last year off of a dual stout brew my buddy and I had. The thing tasted pretty damned awful after primary and some time on a secondary. I had...
Keg lube and reseating the closure work great for small, slow leaks. A buddy of mine did that with his pinlocks if he ever had a problem. I never saw it take more than one reseat.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting more people in on my New England group buy.
Quick question. To pressure test a keg, you just... add some pressure, and if it holds, it's good, right?
