Spa Panel Wiring, help with ground

Trying to figure out how to wire my 220V spa panel and could use some help I'm going to be using the wiring from my stovetop which is only 3 wire (hot hot neutral). There is no ground wire. My control box already has a few working 120V outlet connections that have ground, completley...

How much does Brulosopher affect your brewing?

I think you're referring to this xBmt - http://brulosophy.com/2014/09/01/does-mash-length-matter-exbeeriment-results/ Unfortunately this was before Marshall started triangle testing so there isn't a way to establish statistical significance. It's definitely one we need to repeat a few times...

How much does Brulosopher affect your brewing?

Great thread! Glad I found it - full disclosure I'm one of the Brulosophy contributors. Which yeast strain did you use that resulted in bad beer with the quick lager method?

    Gelatin vs Isinglass Experiment

Agreed, this experiment went very poorly. I've been distracted with other beer related projects, but I do plan on going back and doing this again at some point.

    Will Backsweetening Oxidize Cider ?

I'm very new to cider and am looking to backsweeten my first batch that just finished fermenting. I'm planning on adding fresh apple juice, not concentrate, to my cold kegged hard cider. Coming from a beer background where I tend to obsess about oxygen, so I am slightly concerned about...

Experiences with different saison yeast blends

Good question, I just found a few mentions of it online and thought that it had been determined. Could be Allagash though. Guess I'm going to have to buy some beers from Allagash and Ommegang and compare :D

Experiences with different saison yeast blends

Thanks for the info m00ps! Another good yeast you might want to try blending is TYB Northeastern Abbey (aka Ommegang). Good stuff, recently made a split batch saison with Northeastern vs Wallonian Farmhouse. I preferred the Northeastern, which surprisingly ended up significantly drier.

    Idea for exBEERiment

I'm one of the brulosophy contributors. Trust me, we have plenty of experiments planned dealing with hop additions, some very similar to what you're describing. I just might have 7 mini test batches in my in my fermentation chamber right now testing whirlpool hop temperatures :D

    My Picobrew Thread

I just received some of the official Picobrew cleaning tabs and just wanted to report they are NOT the same as powerball dishwashing tabs. The official ones are made by Craftmeister and don't have a red ball. Haven't used one yet so no idea how well they work.

Experiment: PBW vs Oxyclean vs Homemade PBW

Yeah I eventually tried that as well and adding citric acid definitely helped. The only problem was that my water is so hard that I needed to add a lot. This caused the pH to drop considerably, and seemed to negatively effect the cleaning power of the mixture. EDTA didn't drop the pH as much...

Experiment: PBW vs Oxyclean vs Homemade PBW

Sure! I took some dme and dissolved it in a little bit of water, then I added some used pellet hop gunk. This made a nice, thick, gross looking slurry. I put equal amounts of slurry in each mason jar, shook it up, and stuck it in the oven to bake it on. I'd shake it up periodically, and...
